Medical-Legal Case Manager

Job Description:
The Medical-Legal Case Manager will manage a wide variety of medical-legal cases, including, but not limited to; Independent Medical Evaluations (IMEs), Disability Evaluations, Fitness for Duty Evaluations, Expert Witness and Depositions. The Medical-Legal Case Manager is responsible for scheduling, coordinating the service, and acting as the primary link between the physicians and the client (attorney, insurer, etc.). In addition, the Medical-Legal Case Manager will support the sales team in obtaining repeat business.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage a variety of medical legal cases from scheduling to close
• Maintain a positive relationship with both attorney and physician clients
• Maintain an up-to-date physician database
• Manage the overall physician credentialing process
• Assist sales in physician recruiting
• Ensure reports meet quality standards, including QA and editing
• Schedule/Host attorney, physician consultation calls
• Interact with internal departments to schedule additional resources when needed(office locations, medical assistants)
• Maintain clear and concise communication with physicians
• Weekly tracking and communication of case status
• Case invoicing and timely follow-up

Required Qualifications:
• Previous med-legal experience preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Proficiency with Internet including e-faxing programs and Google Suite/Drive
• 40+ wpm typing speed
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to problem solve and provide excellent customer service
• Fast-paced learner and detail-oriented

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or AA degree in any field of study
• Desire to learn and work with healthcare and/or legal professionals
• Prior experience in the legal field, such as a paralegal is a plus, not required.
