Tigran Garabekyan, MD, QME, is a licensed Orthopedic Surgeon who is available for PQMEs, AMEs or Independent Medical Evaluations (IMEs) at several locations throughout California.
BIO
Tigran Garabekyan, MD, QME, attended UCLA for his undergraduate degree in chemical engineering and went on to obtain his Doctor of Medicine degree from University of California, San Diego. He completed an internship at University of California, San Francisco and a residency at Marshall University in Huntington, WV. He completed a fellowship in Hip Preservation Surgery at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. After his fellowship, Dr. Garabekyan relocated back to his hometown of Los Angeles to establish the Southern California Hip Institute, providing comprehensive care for a variety of complex hip disorders.
Dr. Garabekyan has authored and co-authored numerous journal articles, textbook chapters, and online publications in hip preservation surgery. He has been an invited speaker at national and international conferences, presenting the results of his work. His research interests include improved characterization of acetabular dysplasia, the role of femoral torsion and acetabular version in borderline dysplasia, and capsular management during hip arthroscopy.
