Katherine Au, MD, QME, is a licensed Hand Surgeon who is available for PQMEs, AMEs or Independent Medical Evaluations (IMEs) at several locations throughout California.

BIO

Katherine Au, MD, QME, received her undergraduate degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of California, Berkeley and earned her medical degree from Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine. She completed her residency in Plastic Surgery at Penn State University – Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, where she was given the Department of Surgery Resident Professionalism/Humanism Award and the Steven H. Miller Outstanding Plastic Surgery Teaching Award. Her fellowship in Hand and Microsurgery was completed at University of California, Los Angeles.



Dr. Au is currently a pediatric plastic and hand surgeon at Shriners for Children Medical Center and the Orthopedic Institute for Children. She is also a clinical assistant professor at both University of Southern California and University of California, Los Angeles. Her memberships include the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, and the Pediatric Hand Study Group.
