Leon Barkodar, MD, QME, is a licensed Neurologist who is available for PQMEs, AMEs or Independent Medical Evaluations (IMEs) at several locations throughout California.


Leon Barkodar, MD, QME, graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy from Yeshiva University. Dr. Barkodar is fully licensed and is double board certified in neurology and brain injury medicine by the American Board of Neurology. He received his specialized neurology training at the University of Southern California (USC) Keck School of Medicine. He received his medical doctorate from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA and completed one-year Internal Medicine Internship at Maimonides Medical Center in New York, and a residency in neurology at University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine. He has trained in many hospitals including Keck Hospital, LA County Public Hospital, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA), Rancho Los Amigos Rehabilitation, and many others. He speaks English and Farsi fluently and is conversational in Spanish, and he loves talking with his patients. Dr. Barkodar specializes in treating all adult and adolescent neurology.

Services include treatment for conditions such as neuropathic pain, Parkinson’s disease, dementia, headaches, stroke, tremors, migraines, and he also offers medical and legal evaluations. Based on the best current clinical evidence coupled with a compassionate and caring attitude, Dr. Barkodar will provide honest and compassionate care for all neurological needs. When a patient meets with Dr. Barkodar he will go over the specific issue, followed by a tailored neurologic exam, then provide a diagnosis and a plan of action.
