Stephen P. Nichols, MD, QME, is a licensed Orthopedic Surgeon who is available for PQMEs, AMEs or Independent Medical Evaluations (IMEs) at several locations throughout California.

BIO

Stephen P. Nichols, MD, QME, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with specialty training in the hand and upper extremities. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from San Diego State University and earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine. He completed an internship in general surgery and a fellowship in hand microsurgery at Loma Linda University School of Medicine. His residency in orthopedic surgery was completed at McGill University in Montreal.



Dr. Nichols is currently an associate clinical professor at UCSD Medical Center and is the chief of orthopedic surgery at Scripps Memorial Hospital in Encinitas, California. His memberships include California Orthopedic Association, California Medical Association, San Diego County Medical Society and Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society. He is a Fellow of both the Royal College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.
