Clive M. Segil, MD, QME, has a national reputation for exceptional ability as an expert witness. He has 50 years of experience as a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and an expert for defense and plaintiff in workers’ compensation, personal injury, medical malpractice cases, and all surgical and non-surgical orthopedic conditions. His specialties are spine and scoliosis, hip and knee replacements, and all diseases related to the musculoskeletal system in adults and children.
Dr. Segil received his medical degree from University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa and went on to complete an internship and residency in orthopedic surgery at Johannesburg General Hospital. His repeated an internship for licensure in California at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He completed a hip surgery fellowship at the Center for Hip Surgery in England and a spine surgery fellowship at the University of Toronto and the Toronto East General and Orthopedic Hospital.
Dr. Segil has had a private practice performing orthopedic surgery in Los Angeles since 1975. He is also an attending orthopedic surgeon at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Some of his professional memberships include Western Orthopedic Association, California Orthopedic Association, Cedars-Sinai Health Associates, and Spine Network of California. He has also been a professor/lecturer at University of Southern California School of Medicine, University of Toronto School of Medicine, University of the Witwatersrand, and Johannesburg General Hospital Nursing College.
